Plated vs HelloFresh

I have to apologize, I didn't take pictures of the final products.  However, here is my review of Plated. Similar to HelloFresh, Plated is a weekly food subscription.  You choose the meals you want and you are sent the ingredients and instructions on how to make them.

Price: $12 a plate (I believe its a minimum of 3 meals for two so $72 a week)
Frequency: Weekly however you can adjust how often it is delivered so once a month or every week.
Shipping: You choose which day of the week you want it delivered and it arrives in an insulated box on said day.

The items arrived and all items were there.  All of the food seemed very fresh.  The three meals I choose was as followed.

Carrots and Coriander Soup:  Very different soup. Easy to make, but time consuming. Took aver 45 minutes. I'm sure its good however not my cup of soup. :) You did need a blender or food processor.

Coconut Curry Tilepia: This was easy to make, it was extremely spicy. I made this when my husband was out of town.  In the instructions it would say things like "Spice Packet" or "Curry Mixture".  I didn't know what was in them so could not say what made it spicy.  I know curry can be spicy depending on which type, but it did not specify what it was.  I think this is a downfall, for I can not do anything spicy due to some stomach issues.  I spent 40 minutes making it, and it was too spicy that I had to through it away.

Turkey Sausage Pizziola: I guess you would say this is my most liked meal.  It still isn't something I would make again.  They leave the sausage bit to the end and just leave it on top.  I personally would have cut it up and put it through out the sauce.  However, it was decent, but don't think it is worth the $12 a plate.  I could make a pasta dish for under $3 a plate.

Overall it wasn't a win for me.  I really only ate one out of three meals, and it took longer to make each meal.  In a following post I am going to go through the differences between HelloFresh and Plated.  Please Stay Tuned!
