However, I was missing a couple ingredients for the Shrimp Linguine recipe and I was missing the recipe cards. They did email me PDFs of the recipes, however, I just didn't feel like it was the same. I don't like have electronics in the kitchen, sense I am so clumsy and have destroyed quite a few devices. Plus sense our move our computer/printer issue hasn't been resolved yet with the moving company (AKA the box never arrived, fun, fun)
They are really nice if something is missing or if you have ingredients for some reason, didn't survive the trip. They did credit me $40 towards my next box, so that was nice. I was really polite when I told them. I know there are some really rude people on their facebook page. However, from my experience, I have had great results and service with them.
This week's menu included Pork with Tarragon Sauce, Baked Shrimp Linguine, and Cashew Chicken. I will let you know of each meal. Each meal took about 30 minutes from start to finish. One thing I love, is the directions are so precise, I feel like I use my time more wisely. Tells you when to start slicing, cooking multiple dishes. I have always been awful with timing, so this has been really helpful.
Seared Pork with a Tarragon Cream sauce, served over potatoes and crispy Brussels sprouts.
This one was very easy to make. The pork was nice and tender, and the potatoes were okay. I'm more of a boiled Brussels sprouts with them slathered in butter type of person, so I didn't like how the sprouts were prepared. My husband wasn't a huge fan of this meal. This was our least favorite of the three. I know a lot of Facebook reviews loved this. I'm just not a big tarragon person.
Baked Shrimp and Linguine
Shrimp sauteed in butter, lemon and parsley. Then tossed with linguine, baked with panko on top.
The two ingredients were missing was the lemon and panko. I think if we had those two ingredients would have made the dish. I noticed this right when I was already cooking. So for substitutes I used an orange and homemade bread crumbs. Not bad, just not great.
Cashew Chicken
This super quick and easy dish is served over white rice, and topped with crushed cashews.
This was our favorite of the three. It was the easiest to make too, and I can see us making it again in the future. I think it could have used a bit more sauce to make it perfect. However, it was very tasty, filling, and healthy.
Overall this week I'd give 3 out of 5 stars. The missing items, plus only loving one out of three isn't ideal. We did eat them all, and looking forward to next week!
