Where have I been?

We Moved!!!

Sorry for the hiatus for the whole month of June and July.  There was so much going on, and my computer decided to shit the bed.  As I had mentioned in one of my last posts, David got a position at his San Diego office.  We had six weeks notice.  Which is about how long it's been sense I've written.

This was my life for the past two months.
May 24th: Got back from the Bahamas
May 25th: Told my parents
May 26th: David officially accepted offer
May 27th: Holy Shit we're moving in 6 weeks!/Told work we were officially moving
First Week of June: A lot of phone calls and emails with company who was moving us. David's company has been great about paying for everything.  This is also the week my computer died. I also stopped all incoming mail for subscriptions. I didn't want to not be here, or for food subscriptions to spoil while our mail was being on hold.
Second Week of June: Worked a bunch and started to organize house
Third Week of June: Same as week prior.
Fourth Week of June: My last day of work was on that Thursday.  It was a bitter/sweet moment.  Loved working there, and loved all the ladies there.  However, I had so much to do, I had to get out a week early.
First Week of July: Did a lot of cleaning!  I also did a lot of visiting family.  We had two going away parties, one at my parents and one at our place.  They were both very chill.  Still need to get out those thank you cards.
Second Week of July: This was a crazy hectic week.  However, we did have a lot of down time.  We were only allowed to pack what we were bringing with us.  The moving company packed the rest of the boxes. But I did have to finish cleaning, packing our stuff for the trip, and make the reservations for our trip. We had a very sad week.  A lot of goodbyes, a lot of crying.  We were both happy and really sad.  While the week went on, I was getting a bit more excited, David was getting more worried. On Thursday the movers came and packed all of our stuff.  Friday they took it all.  And that was the last week in Maine.
Third Week of July: We left Maine on the 12th, and drove to San Diego.  We arrived on the 18th.  Lots and lots of driving.  I am posting our trip soon.
Fourth Week of July: This was our "House Hunting" week, his company paid for.  We are staying right in the heart of the gaslamp district in San Diego.  Our hotel is gorgeous!! AND they serve breakfast everyday which is always a plus! Free food!! We did drive around a bunch, checked out some neighborhoods, and made a couple of appointments.  But this was pretty much our vacation/sightseeing week. Went to the zoo, met some new people, did a bunch of shopping, and relaxed.  We ate out more than we wanted to, but our kitchen right now only has a two burner stove.  The pans are two big to have both on the stove at the same time, so it is pretty much useless.  I will dive more into our new home in an upcoming post.
This week: Trying to get back into a groove.  I am excited, because our held mail is on its way.  I am also job hunting and apartment hunting.  David went to work.  I am also obsessed with make up right now so I will probably doing a blog post relatively soon.

Missed this so much! I can't wait to get back into this.  I want to be more faithful now that I have a new computer. I don't know if I'm capable of doing everything with this as I was the last, but I'm sure I will figure it out.  Thanks for reading!
