Custom Boxes Launches for June Boxes

The first thing, which I cannot stress enough, this is completely optional!!!  If you don't want your subscription to change, you can leave things the way they are.  Again it is optional!!! However, if you do decide to opt in for this, you cannot opt out.  Which is something I also have to stress.  However, a lot of older Mavens are ecstatic about this, and I am as well. tarting with our June Boxes we are able to customize our box.  For example: If I like one color from It Girl, and one color from Boho Glam, I can make my box have both colors I want, with out add-ons.

Cost
If you opt in for the customized boxes, it is no longer the $19.99 it is $24.99.  However if you purchase three months at a time, it is $19.99 a month for the box. You just have to pay the $59.97 at once.

Some Mavens don't like how the price is more for this option.  But you have to remember, Julep is a business, they need to make a profit.  And even though customizing a box may only take an extra 20 seconds per box, doing this for 10,000 people does take up a lot of time.

This is just an example: but to show how even just 20 seconds longer can make a huge difference. Excuse my math if this is wrong: but if 10,000 people wanted custom boxes.  It took the packer an extra 20 seconds to make the custom box (having to look at packing slips, and such), that's an extra 55.5 hours of labor for those 10,000 people.  This may mean they have to hire more so boxes can ship on time, or pay overtime.  This does make a difference with such a huge company.  So the extra $5 does make a lot of sense.

How it works
Check out how julep explains it here.  In short, you have the option during your 4 day window to change your box as always.  But now instead of just changing which style you want, you can click on each individual item and swap it for a different item with in the collection.  For products: They are going to have a list of previous products as well, we just don't know if all will be available.

Why wouldn't you do it?
1. If you don't want to purchase the three months at a time, it is $5 more. A lot of mavens do not like the price increase.

2. With that extra $5 at the moment, you could purchase an add-on and have three polishes and a product. You can use they product so swap with other Mavens, or give it away.

3. There is a chance there is a hot color you want, and with the custom option there is more of a chance it will be sold out sooner.

Why would you do it?
1. If you purchase the three months at a time, it doesn't cost any extra than it does right now.  And you'd get exactly what you want.

2. With out having to buy add ons you can get the products and colors you really want.

3. No more buying an extra color you don't want, having to worry about swapping it, living with out the color you do, or skipping because you can't create the box you want. If you have skipping options, they don't go away. ( for older mavens)

As always there are going to be those negative people who hate this.  But again, this is optional, if you don't like it, don't do it!  Plain and simple.  However, for those who have been wanting this forever, now is your chance.
